The Society is a public association of psychologists in the form of a non‑governmental non‑profit organization holding state registration.
The Society was founded by scientists and lecturers (psychologists) from the country's leading universities — the National University of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulugbek, the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, the Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University in Tashkent, Profi University, the Tashkent University of Social Innovations, the Bukhara Institute of Psychology and Foreign Languages, the Center for Pedagogical Excellence of the Surkhandarya Region, the British University of Management — as well as by experienced practicing psychologists holding international certification.
The mission of the Scientific and Practical Society of Psychologists of Uzbekistan is the integration of the professional psychological community on the basis of professional and ethical standards, in order to develop scientifically grounded and socially significant psychological practice, raise the professional competence of specialists and strengthen the institution of psychological assistance in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
