What membership gives you
- Seminars, trainings and professional development.
- Mentorship support, intervision and case analysis.
- Joint projects, research and publications.
- A professional community: discussions, meetings, exchange of experience.
Who can join
- Membership is open both to residents and non-residents of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- Specialists holding a state-recognized diploma of higher education, of retraining and/or documents confirming additional professional education in the field of psychology.
- Students of relevant programs — with a certificate from their university confirming enrollment in the "Psychology" program.
Under the Law "On the Provision of Psychological Assistance to the Population", an individual may at the same time be a member of only one public association of psychologists registered in Uzbekistan. Keep this in mind when joining.
Required documents
- An application in the Society's form — fill it in, insert the required documents into the Word file and sign it. The template download link is in the How to join section.
- An identity document — ID card or passport.
- A copy of the diploma of a basic higher psychological education. For students — a certificate from their university confirming enrollment in the "Psychology" program and/or a copy of the state-recognized diploma of professional retraining in psychology.

Applications are reviewed no later than the 20th of each month. After the review we will contact you — welcome to the Society.

Qualification certification of psychologists
The Society has the right to certify psychologists to carry out activities in providing psychological assistance privately in accordance with the requirements of Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Provision of Psychological Assistance to the Population" ZRU-989 of 5 November 2024. The certificate is issued through the Society upon the results of an examination that includes testing and an interview.

Pay the fee for the provision of the state service
Payment is made through the Unified Portal of Interactive State Services (EPIGU).

Qualification examination
Certificate and registry entry
After successfully passing the qualification examination, a qualification certificate is issued and the corresponding entry is added to the registry of issued qualification certificates on the Society's website.
Requirements and conditions for obtaining the certificate
To obtain a qualification certificate, the following requirements and conditions must be met:

- the applicant must be a member of a public association of psychologists (a natural person may simultaneously be a member of only one public association of psychologists);
- possession of higher education in the field of "psychology", or possession of higher education in another field together with completion of retraining courses in the specialty of "psychology";
- each psychologist holding a qualification certificate shall, after obtaining it, undergo professional development at least once every three years under programs approved by the authorized body that issued the qualification certificate, or complete professional development courses of no less than 60 hours in duration at centers for the professional development of psychologists;
- to be a permanent resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- to provide the person seeking psychological assistance with information on the form and type of psychological assistance and other necessary information;
- when rendering psychological assistance, to treat the person seeking psychological assistance humanely and to respect his honor, dignity, and business reputation;
- not to disclose professional secrets and personal data that have become known in the course of rendering psychological assistance, in accordance with the requirements of the legislation;
- when rendering psychological assistance on a paid basis, to comply with the terms of the contract for the provision of psychological assistance;
- to comply with the standards for the provision of psychological assistance and the requirements of the Code of Professional Ethics of Psychologists;
- not to use prohibited methods and means of rendering psychological assistance, including not to apply physical or psychological violence;
- when rendering psychological assistance, to comply with the requirements of the legislation on freedom of conscience and religious organizations, including not to teach religious doctrines, not to propagate religious beliefs and ideas, not to disseminate materials of religious content, not to give preference to any religion, and not to discredit it;
- not to incite the commission of offenses or crimes, suicide, participation in games of chance or other games based on risk, or other forms of antisocial behavior;
- to render psychological assistance to a minor with the consent of his legal representative. The rendering of psychological assistance to a person under fourteen years of age without the consent of a legal representative is permitted in cases where facts of pressure or violence against such person are revealed, as well as in emergency situations, extraordinary circumstances, or accidents;
- at the request of the person seeking psychological assistance or his legal representative, to present the qualification certificate, as well as to provide an extract from the document containing information on the form and type of psychological assistance and other information.
