The Scientific and Practical Society of Psychologists of Uzbekistan is a public association of psychologists, in the form of an NGO, bringing together specialists in the field of psychology.

The Society brings psychologists together to develop the profession, hold professional events, exchange experience, provide mentorship, and carry out professional projects. By joining the Society, you can apply for a qualification certificate to carry out activities providing psychological assistance privately.

Specialists who meet the requirements of the Regulation on Membership of the Scientific and Practical Society of Psychologists of Uzbekistan can become members of the Society.

The following may be members of the Society:

• persons who have reached the age of 18 and recognize the Society's charter — citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens, as well as stateless persons;
• specialists holding the degree of Candidate (PhD) or Doctor of Psychological Sciences (DSc).

Admission to membership of the Society is possible both on an individual and a collective basis.

The Society has the right to establish additional requirements for the level of professional education of candidates for membership.

Most of the Society's events are included in membership and do not require additional payment.

It depends on the country in which the diploma was obtained.

If the diploma was obtained in a state with which the Republic of Uzbekistan has concluded an agreement on the mutual recognition of educational documents, nostrification is generally not required.

For example, for diplomas obtained in the Russian Federation, the following conditions must be met simultaneously:

• the diploma was issued after 30 May 2019 (after the Agreement entered into force);
• the educational program holds state accreditation;
• the corresponding higher education was obtained (bachelor's, specialist's, master's degree);
• the studies were completed in the full-time format.

If at least one of these conditions is not met, or if the diploma was obtained in a state with which there is no agreement on the mutual recognition of educational documents, going through the recognition (nostrification) procedure may be required.

We check:

• after 30.05.2019 → the Agreement applies (subject to compliance with its conditions);
• regardless of the issue date → if the university is on the current TOP-1000 list, a separate ground for recognition applies;
• if no ground applies → then look at the recognition (nostrification) procedure.

When choosing such an association, it is worth paying attention not only to its name, but also to the opportunities it provides: events, exchange of experience, supervision, mentorship, participation in projects, and professional certification.
